I think this is amazing. Love the potential implications of such tech.

The Dirty Car Artist

Scott Wade used to draw on his own car regularly; and then on the dirty cars of friends and neighbors by request. A story about the work in his local newspaper went viral and the requests started to pour in. “I have the most fun when I am in public. It’s not supposed to be beautiful — you’re supposed to wash it,” said Wade, 55, who lives in a small town between Austin and San Antonio, Texas. “But when you turn it into a piece of art, people are delighted by that.”

Wade's art, in photos and videos, is posted on his Dirty Car Art website. For now, here's a summarized version of his inspirational work.

How to Find and Do Work You Love

Like many TEDx videos, the presenter's personal story, I find, is very inspirational. The video may be a little long, but there are quite a few nuggets sprinkled throughout. Would love to get your feedback on this particular video in the comments.

Ad-Hoc Street Music Collaboration

This takes busking to a whole new level. Beyond the raw talent, it takes a lot of compassion and passion to play music. To do so ad-hoc while breaking down the stereotypes, IMHO, becomes inspirational; if not extraordinary.

Make Good Art

Best said by the video's maker:
I produced, edited and (for parts) filmed this video in order to inspire the "artists", the creative, the adventurers, the people who do what they really enjoy doing (and for those who don't, to keep searching), the creators ... the "crazy" ones. To all the people who challenge the "status quo" in which society is based nowadays. And most important, to motivate those who follow their passions no matter what. If you want to share this video with the idea of inspiring people. Go ahead

No Land, No Problem

TMB (Thai Military Bank) have launched a new brand vision "Make THE Difference" by making a film to inspire people to start thinking differently. This short video is based on a true story, about a group of kids that triumphed above & beyond their very environment!!

In 1986 a football team that lived on a Small Island in the Thailand called "Koh Panyee". It's a floating village in the sea that has not an inch of soil. The kids here loved to watch football but had nowhere to play or practice. But they didn't let that stop them. They challenged the norm and have become a great inspiration for new generations.

How Do You Define Yourself?

Warning: The ugly part could make you cry.

"The World's Ugliest Woman" is not Lizzie Velasquez. Simply, I think every person who knows they teased her should go and humbly apologize.

The Giving Tree

An awesome story. Well read, and is considered the next best thing after reading the book yourself. This story made me, as a parent, feel very sad ... mainly because of how true and accurate it is. And for that, I found it to be very inspirational. I hope you do too.

This is a story by Shell Silverstein, and it’s called The Giving Tree. You can find the text of the book here.

Inspirational Monday - Quotes

As in times past, I won't bore you with what I have to say; instead, I will let these quotes speak for themselves:

Last Drop

Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful. ~Albert Schweitzer

The strongest people are not those who show strength in front of us but those who win battles we know nothing about. ~Unknown

Successful people are always looking for opportunities to help others. Unsuccessful people are always asking, 'What's in it for me?' ~Brian Tracy

Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out. ~Robert Collier

The only way to do great work is to love what you do. ~Steve Jobs

Be happy with what you have while working for what you want. ~Helen Keller

Now if you are going to win any battle you have to do one thing. You have to make the mind run the body. Never let the body tell the mind what to do. The body will always give up. It is always tired in the morning, noon, and night. But the body is never tired if the mind is not tired. ~George S. Patton

Failure is only the opportunity to begin again, this time more wisely. ~Henry Ford

Truly Paying It Forward

As +Francine Hardaway posted on Google+: "You don't need to speak Thai to understand and love this." A story about paying it forward in the most real-life way. I hope this inspires us all (me included) to to good, and start the cycle of paying it forward.

Lifelike Portrait of Chloe Grace Mortez

The work is without a doubt inspirational. Here's what the artist says on YouTube:
This drawing of Chloe Moretz is done mostly with soft pastel block and pastel pencil, going for a very high contrast / vibrant look. Hope you guys enjoy this drawing / art video.

The Statue Experiment

Initially, it may seem comical how people are and how they subsequently act after such a small change. However, the intentions, the act and the result (what he did with the money) make the whole thing inspirational.

The Last Ice Merchant (El Último Hielero)

Hard work, dedication and determination barely begin to scratch the surface when describing Baltazar Ushca from Ecuador (the main main in this video). I think it's a story we should show our kids to teach them how things were. Not because things could go back to a level of manual work as displayed in this video, but also because it illustrates the disciplines needed to do today's work with the same passion and self-drive. If nothing else, at minimum, it shows what we take for granted in our daily lives: Not just how ice arrives, but how we go about collecting things we now have readily available.

The whole performance, the result, all of it ... it's all art. A clear display of art. The fact that it's thought provoking means it's a masterpiece, IMHO.
